What type of foods should I eat?
Believe it or not, there are a wide variety of delicious foods you can eat during the Xenoplex 90-Day Challenge. It is suggested that you eat three meals a day containing a serving of protein and complex carbohydrates, and supplement your other two to three meals with a delicious serving of Isoplex or Wheyplex. Isoplex and Wheyplex shakes are a great way to cut your grocery bill down while offering the best source of high quality protein you can give your body.

Do I have to take my own pictures or do you do that for me?
You will take two before photos and two after photos with the D&A Nutrition products you’ve used placed at your feet. The photos should be taken in a front relaxed position with your arms at your side. Front and side views are required with the before photos. Please wear the same type of clothing in both pictures. Men should wear shorts. Women should wear a bathing suit, preferably a two-piece. Submit your before pictures with your entry form, verifying the start date. You will submit your final pictures within two weeks of your finish date, along with a short essay on why you deserve to be crowned the champion of the Xenoplex 90-Day Challenge.

How are Xenoplex 90-Day Challenge Finalists determined?
Each Xenoplex 90-day Challenge participant will be reviewed by a panel of expert judges who critique each finalist to determine the greatest transformation. The finalists are not judged by who loses the most weight or gains the most muscle. The best overall transformation from beginning to finish will be awarded as the Xenoplex 90-Day Challenge winner.

Eating six meals a day seems like a lot, do I need to eat that much?
Eating six small meals a day will help keep your metabolism running at high speeds to help burn more body fat. Different people prefer different exercises for their cardiovascular workouts. The important thing to remember is to choose something enjoyable. The more you enjoy the exercise, the more likely you are to stick with it and continue in your progress. Another important point is to pick one that incorporates your larger muscle groups. The more muscle mass involved in the exercise, the more calories you’ll burn during each session, bringing you one step closer to your goals.

What is the correct level of intensity I should put my body through during weight training and cardio training?
While the required level of intensity does vary, an old saying still holds true— "you get out of it what you put into it." Intense, consistent training will always be essential to achieve maximum results.

Should I increase the amount of weight I use every time I train?
It is important to constantly increase the weight throughout your weight-training program. Starting out with a 12-18 rep. warm up for a minimum of two sets per body part is recommended prior to beginning a strenuous workout. It is important to stretch between sets. Achieving maximum muscle fiber recruiting by completely fatiguing your muscles is crucial, and stretching between sets can prevent both muscle atrophy and delayed ongoing muscle soreness. (A result of over training.) This is best done in five-to-ten-pound increments. For example, if you are doing seated dumbbell bicep curls: Set 1: (Warm up) 12-18 repetitions with 2.5 pounds Stretch Set 2: (Warm up) 12-18 repetitions with 2.5 pounds Stretch Set 3: 10-12 repetitions with 5 pounds Stretch Set 4: 8-10 repetitions with 10 pounds

How many days a week should I work out to get the best results?
Typically, 3-4 days of weight training with 2-3 days of cardiovascular activity will yield the greatest results. Allow at least one full day of recovery free from conditioning each week. Your weight training workouts should not last for more than 50 minutes. If you train hard and give 100% for this time period, our studies have shown that you can achieve excellent results.

How much is too much cardiovascular exercise?
Cardiovascular training is an important part of weight loss, but overdoing anything can have negative consequences. Everyone is different, so the most important thing to remember is to listen to your body. We recommend cardio five days a week for one hour, either 30-50 minutes in the morning prior to first meal, 30-50 minutes in the evening after the last meal or, ideally, a combination of both.

Is cardiovascular activity and weight training an important part of a weight-loss program, and how much cardio is needed to lose weight?
Absolutely. Cardiovascular training and weight training should both be an important part of any weight-loss program, though each individual’s needs are different depending upon his or her condition. The body reacts to change, so one of the best ways to stimulate rapid fat loss is through “wind sprints”. Exerting maximum amounts of energy for short periods of time (30-60 seconds) has been proven to burn a significant amount of fat quickly and efficiently. If you are not able to participate in high-impact aerobic activity, stationary bikes, elliptical machines or any type of aerobic activity that raises your target heart rate above the 75% range for at least 45 minutes is recommended for maximum results. We also recommend doing cardio before your first meal. This speeds up the body’s metabolism, burning stored fat and releasing natural endorphins throughout the day to promote increased energy levels as well as increased caloric utilization.

Can I take D&A supplements without working out, or can I work out without taking D&A supplements?
While both are certainly possible, exercise combined with the proper supplementation and rest will rapidly increase the rate at which you achieve your goals. Exercising alone will yield some results, and proper nutrition alone will yield others, but only when a professional nutritional consultant properly combines the two can you progress at the optimal rate.
